Born to Swedish and Danish parents, I spent my childhood in Australia and Japan and developed a love of long-haul flights and distant climes.

During my liberal arts education in the USA, I came to relish interdisciplinary studies and cross-cultural encounters in literature, art and religion.

My graduate studies at the University of Copenhagen were interspersed with guided tours of Japan, China, India and Nepal - including four Great Wall Marathons (which I helped facilitate, not run!) and a marathon in Ladakh.

Since 2003, I have been teaching English language and literature, yoga and Theory of Knowledge for the IB Diploma at King’s College School, Wimbledon and Sevenoaks School, Kent.

Now I am returning to my Scandinavian roots to give my son an anchor in his heritage and to be closer to family. I will continue to work internationally online and in person.
